Where I'm at...in July_08?

Righto - am now taking a few months off in-house work at Radio National to make another independent feature for Into the Music. My Executive Producer is Robyn Ravlich - she is great to produce for and very supportive of 'all things sonic'. I'm rather excited about it - intending to play with a documentary genre I'm less familiar with - because I think it's time I gave the observational thing a rest.

I'm also working (independently) as Supervising Producer on an episode of The Night Air - which is quite a crazy, experimental sound show - very playful and lots of fun. I have twelve 'emerging producers' under my charge - so will be interesting to see how it all pans out - they are all very switched on so I'm not worried (yet).

Still at RMIT Uni (have been contracted until December) - semester is about to start - so it's a rather hectic time. This term I'm back to teaching two courses I either designed or co-designed. One is a first year subject called 'Broadcast Media' that I devised in collaboration with award winning educator Rachel Wilson (who is an absolute pleasure to work with if you are ever lucky enough to get the chance) - the other is all my own and an experiment in 'work integrated learning' that is a discrete part of an umbrella subject called 'Production Project Two'... Oh, and I'm supervising two very special honors students too - and an MA by coursework student I'm yet to meet.
